After a drama-filled, entertainment empty, sorry excuse for a Grammy award ceremony last year, it is safe to say that this year's show was definitely making up for lost time.
From the red carpet to the surprising album of the year award, this year's Grammy awards ceremony were anything but disappointing. Pink's gravity defying performance, and GaGa's unique homage to the world of fame created a standard of excellence on a night where Beyonce broke records, and Drake saved a genre, all in a day's work. Lets take a look at the fashion that made our heads turn, and our stomachs churn.
Keri Hilson- Although she did not make out like Beyonce on the award front, Miss Keri Baby should have taken home something for best dressed. She totally knocked me down, after repeated tacky offenses she went from ashy to classy in one fell swoop of a Dolce & Gabanna body consckous toule mermaid ensemble. Perfection
Beyonce- It is always a pleasant surprise when Beyonce rocks out a red carpet. However, this year she left me wanting a little bit more than that upholestry inspired Stephan Rolland getup. Nevertheless, once inside, B redeemed with an awesome Versace LBD, and a her usual short and blingy cocktail dress.
Pink- Well done, apparently pink got the memo about the veracity of an event like the Grammy's. This is not an event like the VMA's, an uber couture look will do, and she did it! Her Tony Ward ombre gown made her look every part the winner even though she lost to B, at least she looked 'HAUTE.'
Britney Spears- Well, her hair looks nice, next time lets try perhaps a body hugging mini dress underneath a sheer sheeth.
Jennifer Hudson- Baby weight who? Jennifer Hudson was in one word, snatched, from head to toe in her Victoria Beckham dress and classic Louboutin platforms.
Lady GaGa- Last but certainly not least, the biggest star of the night, literally.
Gaga's walking installation of the planet Saturn. Even if she looks crazy to you, at least she is not afraid to take it there. Her Armani Prive gound and McQueen shoes were appropriate for the eccentric artist, who is all about silhouettes. I'm not goo goo over Gaga in this, but at least she does not fall short on creativeity or post-award blogging fodder.
