Luckily, tonight I will have the pleasure of attending a special screening of the second installment of the SATC films, as I have to board a plane to Paris tomorrow.
Clearly, I am writing this in between planning my outfit, but for many fans who have to wait until tomorrow I wanted to leave you with a few behind the scenes features that will hopefully keep you at bay for the next 24 hours.
For many die hard SATC the chance to watch the women come full circle from bad break ups, divorce and cancer is an honor. The emotional and fashion ties we have to the cast are built on years of watching the ladies of SATC evolve from wide eyed thirty somethings to wise yet optimistic 40 somethings. Their journeys have reflected our own at times, and have forced us to strengthen our own friendships.
If you are anything like me, you have been: planning what you are going to wear to the SATC2 release since you heard they were filming again, the sheer delight of a five second clip of Aden running into Carrie at a Middle Eastern market made your heart skip a beat and the decadent scene of four fierce middle aged fierce NY couture clad women galavanting in the desert made you squeal. All in all the anticipation of the opening of Sex and The City 2 is nearly sending you into cardiac arrest.
Although I will see the movie tonight. Don't worry, I won't spoil the film with a late night rant, but I will tell you that 150 minutes of watching our favorite ladies parade their impeccable fashion sense and enviable lifestyles is the perfect anecdote to any hectic work week, and if you are truly anything like me you will see it more than once. Enjoy!
